Spring Endurance Cycle at TPH

Spring Endurance Cycle at TPH

⚡️New Cycle Alert: Spring Endurance⚡️

This is an eight week training block focused on traditional strength training with longer conditioning pieces and classic benchmark workouts.

In the first half of the cycle, we focus on building foundational strength through squats, bench press, and trap bar deadlifts while reinforcing power development with the power clean. Benchmark workouts such as Cindy, Jackie, Karen, and Holleyman, along with tests like the 1 mile run, 100 calorie bike, and 2000m row/ski, will give us reference points to measure progress.

The second half of the cycle transitions toward classic barbell strength with front squat, deadlift, and shoulder press, while our weightlifting focus shifts to the power snatch. We also begin skill development for kipping pull ups.

Throughout the cycle, we will track progress with the Polaris Total, which combines the front squat, shoulder press, and deadlift into a single strength benchmark. This cycle is designed to prepare members for Murph on Memorial Day as well. The training will gradually build the strength, engine, and muscular endurance needed for longer workouts.
