Polaris Member Spotlight: Amy

Polaris Member Spotlight: Amy

Meet Amy: a lifelong adventurer and athlete with an endless appetite for learning and evolving as a person, professional, and athlete. She’s also the mother of two girls, ages 14 and 12 who have enjoyed the teen strength class. She’s been a member at Polaris Strength & Conditioning for 2.5 years. Here’s more about her:

If you could go back and tell yourself on day-one, what would it be? Strength training has been a journey with ups and downs, sometimes feeling like a roller coaster, but I’m definitely stronger now. It was worth sticking through the hard times.

What’s your favorite thing to eat in Seattle? Din Tai Fung, I love their Bok Choy and Black Pepper Beef Tenderloin. My family loves the dumplings of course.

What cool things have you used your fitness for outside the gym? I love cyclocross bike racing, nordic skiing, backpacking, and bike touring. My family did 300+ miles on the Pacific Crest Trail from Snoqualmie Pass to Canada and then out via Ross Lake in summer ’25.

If you could design your favorite workout what movements would it include? Deadlifts & cleans are my favorites. I love lifting heavy stuff. And combining it with a sprint interval really meets my needs in my current phase of life.
