✨Member Spotlight ✨
For this week in our member series, say hello to Kim! Here’s a little bit about her in her own words:
💪Describe yourself using one sentence:
Music-loving, a little bit competitive, outgoing introvert who’s here to move well, laugh a little, and probably start dancing mid-workout.
💪 How long have you been a member of TPH?
Member since April 2023, CrossFitting since 2011. Long enough that I’ve had a “peak” and now I’m just here for longevity, good vibes, and the occasional surprise PR.
💪If you could go back and tell your day-one TPH self one thing what would it be?
Just keep showing up and be patient. Don’t get so hung up on the numbers. You’re building strength, but you’re also building grit and confidence. You’re going to realize you’re capable of more than you think, and that matters more than any PR ever will. And please, for the sake of your future self, do your mobility work.
💪 What’s your favorite thing to eat in Seattle?
I’m on a quest to find the best salt bagel and the best khao soi in Seattle. Right now Hey Bagel and Zylberschtein’s are leading for salt bagels, and it’s a tie between Ginger & Scallion and Isarn Thai Soul Kitchen for khao soi.
💪 What cool things have you used your fitness for outside the gym?
Outside the gym, I love hiking and backpacking. There’s something about long hikes where you can slow down and really take in how beautiful everything is. I like knowing I can handle hard things, whether that’s out on a trail or carrying everything in from the car in one trip.
💪 If you could design your favorite workout what movements would it include?
A million double unders, hang power clean cycling or heavy power cleans, box jump overs, shoulder to overhead, and sit-ups. Heavy enough to matter, fast enough to hurt, and absolutely requires a mid-WOD dance break with a solid playlist.
