What Happened to CrossFit Twenty Pound Hammer?

Twenty Pound Hammer was established in the Ballard neighborhood of Seattle as a long-standing CrossFit gym known for its community, energy, and strength-focused training. Over the years, it built a loyal group of members and helped over a thousand people discover what they were capable of.

In 2026, we rebranded to Polaris Strength & Conditioning

We’ve spent the years refining our approach to coaching and found that strength training works best with a model built on:

  • Small-group coaching with intentional caps
  • Individualized programming options
  • Long-term strength development
  • Sustainable training for busy adults

We believe strength training should support your life for decades — not just your next PR.

The name Polaris reflects what Twenty Pound Hammer had become. It represents strength, intelligence, and a welcoming community — and it connects deeply to the Pacific Northwest as Polaris was a mother in our local resident Orca J Pod. The north star also is a navigational tool

While the name has changed, the core values have not.
